Description:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping how environmental professionals investigate and remediate contaminated sites. This course provides a grounded, practical look at how AI tools are being used today in site assessment, data evaluation, and remedial decision‑making along with the risks, limitations, and ethical considerations that come with them. Attendees will learn best practices for integrating AI into environmental workflows, strategies for maintaining professional judgment, and approaches for achieving regulatory and agency acceptance.
Designed for LSRPs, engineers, geologists, and remediation practitioners, the session equips participants with a framework for using AI to support smarter, faster, and more defensible decisions. The course concludes with a real‑world case study demonstrating how AI can be applied throughout the project lifecycle, from initial characterization through remedy selection and optimization.
