Course Description:
This 2- hour course will provide environmental professionals with practical strategies for distinguishing on-site impacts from off-site contributions. Through expert instruction and real-world case studies, participants will learn how to apply Preliminary Assessment Reports (PARs), Conceptual Site Models (CSMs), and multiple lines of technical evidence to build defensible conclusions.
At the end of the course, attendees will be able to:
• Evaluate historical and technical data to trace contaminant origins.
• Interpret plume behavior and analytical results to delineate responsibility.
• Prepare comprehensive Off-Site Source Determination (OSSD) reports that satisfy NJDEP standards.
Gain the tools and confidence to navigate one of the most challenging aspects of site investigation—identifying and documenting off-site sources of soil and groundwater contamination. Ideal for Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), environmental consultants, and technical project managers seeking to strengthen their investigative judgment and compliance expertise.
