Description:

This Regulatory Roundtable (RR) covers the February 2025 changes to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Ground Water Quality Standards (GWQS) under N.J.A.C. 7:9C. The presenters will offer a brief history of the GWQS and will provide practitioners and LSRPs guidance on implementation of the revised GWQS into the remediation of your contaminated site portfolio.

Further insights will include:

• How to proceed with remediation for active cases and cases where a Remedial Action Permit application for ground water has already been submitted or will be submitted to NJDEP before the six-month phase in period.
• A laboratory’s perspective on the new GWQS and challenges for implementation in addition to best practices.
• A review of the LSRPA’s comments in response to the proposed rule will provide basis and set the stage for a robust question and answer period to follow the presentation.
