DESCRIPTION:March 25, 2026 - Aspiring Professionals Special Session at the NJ Site Remediation Conference\n\n03/25/26 02:00 PM EST\n - 03/25/26 06:30 PM EST\Description:\n\n\nJoin Us for the Aspiring Professionals Special Session at the NJ Site Remediation Conference!\nThis special session is designed to empower Aspiring Professionals with essential skills and insights to advance in the site remediation field as well as showcasing innovative ideas in the AP Poster Contest.\n\nThis year’s session will highlight how networking, collaboration, and communication are key to successful remediation projects. For the first panel, laboratory and drilling subcontractors will highlight common mistakes they see and teach Aspiring Professionals how to avoid them and work together to mutually benefit all parties. The second presentation will discuss effective communication strategies and how they can be applied to remediation projects.\n\nFor Aspiring Professionals who may not be able to fit the entire conference into their schedule, we have created an AP Special Pass ($50) which provides access only to the two AP presentations (listed below) and the AP Poster Contest. Those Aspiring Professionals who purchase this special pass will also be our guests at the Cocktail Reception and Exhibit Hall from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on March 25th. \n\nAspiring Professionals who purchase the 2026 NJSRC All-Access Pass (listed under the main registration page starting at $350), and those attending the full conference are welcome to attend the AP Special Sessions.\n\nSession Agenda\n\n2:00pm – 2:45pm: Learn from the Subcontractors\n \nIn this panel discussion, aspiring professionals will hear from laboratory and drilling subcontractors on how to collaborate for a successful project.  The subcontractors will discuss common mistakes they see, the types of information needed during proposal/cost estimate phase, lessons learned in project execution, and how to communicate when things do not go according to plan.  \n\nPanelists:\n\n\n	Lab – Taryn Crosby, Eurofins\n	Driller – Brenna Garmon, Cascade\n	Aspiring Professional – Dayann Vidas, GZA\n\n3:00pm – 3:45pm: Communications – The Key to Successful Projects & Careers\n \nThis presentation explores why clear, effective communication is just as critical as technical expertise in achieving project success. Through real-world examples and practical strategies, you’ll learn how to navigate stakeholder expectations, simplify technical jargon, and prevent costly misunderstandings that can derail projects. Strong communicators build trust, gain visibility, and position themselves for leadership roles early in their careers. This session will show you how every email, meeting, and presentation can become an opportunity to stand out and accelerate your professional growth.\n\nPanelists: \n\n\n	Andrew Wadden, HDR\n	Aspiring Professional – Savannah Ward, HDR \n\n4:00 pm - 5:00pm: AP Poster Contest Presentations & Voting\n \nAspiring Professional are invited to display posters during the Conference. Utilizing new technology or innovative processes? Come talk about it! Discuss a technical topic or provide insight into a complex project you worked on. The posters will be displayed for public viewing during the Conference. From 4:00pm to 5:00pm, each AP who entered the contest will have 5-10 minutes to give a short synopsis of their presentation.
